Journeying Group Meetings

TreasureFor those in the area who already have journeying skills, the Journeying Group meets once a month in Frimley, Surrey on the 1st Wednesday of the month. The meetings run from 7.30 – 9.30pm, see below for what happens during the meetings. There is no charge for these meetings. If you are interested in attending, please contact me by phone or email – see Contact page.

Whilst we follow the above pattern for the meetings, occasionally we adjust when I'm away. To check when the next meeting is, see the Calendar.

If you are interested in attending the group meetings but do not yet know how to do a shamanic journey, please look into attending a basic journeying workshop either with myself (see Workshops) or with another shamanic teacher (see Links).

Format of the Meetings:

Opening the space - we all drum, rattle, sing, move to open the sacred space and invite our helping and compassionate spirit allies into the space.

Journeying - I drum while everyone journeys. I will have journeyed beforehand to find out what journey(s) to do, although you are of course free not to follow my suggestion if you prefer. Sometimes we do one 30-minute journey on an individual basis, or sometimes we pair up and do two shorter journeys, first both journeying for one of the pair, then both journeying for the other. We usually share our experiences afterwards, but there is no obligation to. Depending on how many people are there we might share to the whole group in turn, or just with the other one in the pair. These journeys are quite varied in style, content and approach from session to session.

Healing work - we finish with 15 minutes of transfiguring on behalf of the Earth, and anyone who has requested healing (with their consent). We transfigure to some very gentle music. The process is very simple and quick to explain if you've never done it before – click HERE for a description.

Closing the space - finally we give thanks to our helping spirits and close the space.

What to Bring:

As well as any drum(s) or rattles you care to bring, please bring a notebook and pen so you can write down your journey. I do have extra drums and rattles which you're welcome to try out; you might get an idea of the type you'd like to get for your own work.
